OUR MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.
Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes:
It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support, and it is intended to discourage American citizens

.......Pass it on! Give it wide dissemination!
Now, there's certainly more that needs to be said in this group. For those who live in other countries than American, and think that America is doing wrong to do ANYTHING in other countries, I can only reply, "Then stop asking for help!"
How many countries are filled with starving people and asked the U.S. for help? We not only help them to till the land, but give them the seed to plant, then buy back the finished product to help stimulate country economically. We certainly don't need the grains we buy back, in fact we produce far more than our country needs.
I don't truly know "how" the countries that receive military assistance are chosen overall, but I DO know that far to many of these countries are less than grateful, once the assistance is given. My answer to those who ungrateful for what is done for them,, quit asking!! If you cannot appreciate what is done, to help those who either cannot help themselves, or are spineless enough that they refuse to help themselves, then just don't ask. It's that simple.
The hatred and spite, aimed at America, is pure jealousy, it's that simple. We who live in this country are indeed fortunate to live here. We have the same pains that other countries have as far as crimes, economical ups and downs and times when things effect us at a very personal level. But, it would be a sham if we were to blame other countries for things like this that DO happen.
Slavery is not condoned by our Government, Females have equal rights as well. We have a voice in our Government, whether we agree with the present administration or not, we can vote the next round, based on our own personal perspectives, and attempt to change we we "see" is wrong right now.
The World Bank is not controlled by America, in fact, from what I see recently, it looks more like China would have the inside track there. Just like practically every other country in the world, we have durable and consumable products to sell to the world. It should be noted that we import a heck of a lot of products, that we just as easily could make or grow ourselves.
The bottom line is, if you don't want us in your country, quit asking us to come there then..
We don't need the hassle, and you don't appreciate the effort.
Thanks for your time...

(I'm passing this on...spreading knowledge, I did not write it and I believe the author has good intentions but he is 'off' a little in his assessments/comments at the end of the facts; for example: Iraq didn't "ASK" the USA to come in their country!!. ) CC)
