I understand that some people dislike him for the political decisions he made as president. Today I want to stay away from that debate. I strongly disagreed with his inflation fighting tactics and the cuts he made to social service programs. But in the years after he and Betty left the White House, especially in his latter years, it seemed as if Gerald Ford was making amends for the sins of his administration. Today I want to talk about Citizen Ford, not President Ford. I was lucky enough to talk to one of the clergy from my cathedral that actually is friend's with the Fords. He gave me some insight and inside info that you may not read about in the press...well not until Woodword published his inevitable book. Also there were twwo year end posts from 12/30 and 12/31/06 you comments on the LJ are definitely welcomed. LJ link for commenting: pracuel.livejournal.com/113763.htmlOh and HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! ;D
