........... "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson ........... I love that quote by Thomas Jefferson- it holds so true these days. Years ago I was shot by a gun as I was being mugged but I have never, up to this point, considered owning a firearm of my own. With the signing of Bush's torture bill- the Military Commissions Act of 2006 and the possibility of another military strike in Iran, which may very well effect the elections, I am seriously considering getting a legal gun permit- just in case. I know it sounds like I am being paranoid but I would rather be prepared to defend myself against this fascist regime rather then be surprised like the people of Poland and Germany were in the 1930's. You have to admit that you can put nothing past these bastards- everything is a lie. Everything hinges on power and control and it is always at the expense of the citizens. Everything these people have done in the world has been at the end of a gun. There is no such thing as diplomacy and nations become threats when it is convenient for the Bush Crime Family. In today's editorial I wonder if it is time to get some protection here at home- things are not getting better and with the passage of the torture law things are going to get worse. History repeats itself and I am afraid it is doing so in America today. That and Bush's latest one on one interview with ABC- its the same old song and dance with Bush...and he was allowed to do it. Your feedback welcomed and encouraged! ;D LJ post link- pracuel.livejournal.com/105605.html
