Today's post involves personal news. Last week, on Friday, I was approached by one of my former producers, Dennis Jones. His theatre is currently in a difficult position, having lost a cast member for an upcoming production. I've been asked to replace this cast member, and after reviewing my situation carefully this weekend have decided to accept the offer.
As many of you know, my life here in San Diego is filled with activity. There are some things I will have to sacrifice in order to make this change. The majority of work I am doing to date, however, will not be affected by this move.
I will necessarly no longer be able to attend the monthly presentations of the San Diego Amatuer Astonomers Society. Working with these dedicated individuals to bring education and entertainment to the children of San Diego has been a very favorable experience. I will miss the long nights in Balboa Park with my fellow sky-watchers.
I will also be finishing my work with United Title Company this week. It has been a pleasure to work for UTC, and I have enjoyed my time there. Vickie Crestani, to whom I have been working as Personal Assistant, is an amazing woman and an understanding boss. I thank her very much for allowing me the opportunity to earn my way here in San Diego, and I will hold my time with UTC in high regard as I move forward.
My committment to Powers&Morrison.com will remain unchanged. The work we do here through citizen journalism is far to important for me to compromise with a personal decision. This move will in fact allow me more time to committ to P&M. With the November Elections fast approaching, and an almost certain fight for clean election results in our future, I feel that it is best for me to be in a position to dedicate the bulk of my time to fight for citizens rights.
My relationship with the Jon Elliott Show has yet to be determined moving forward. I can assure you all that I will do everything in my power to advance the cause of Progressive Politics in San Diego, even remotely. Jon Elliott's show is without doubt the strongest voice in San Diego speaking for the Constitution and for Civil Rights. Any resulting work relationahip I am able to maintain with their program will go forward in this spirit.
Thank you all for your time, and for your kind words. The emails of support and encouragement I've recieved this past weekend made these choices significantly easier, and I am grateful for your advice readers.
More to come soon, it's an exciting time...
-Nathan Morrison
