This orginally was a response to a post on another message board- since I have had to hear Bush all week spewing out propaganda with no one really calling him on it I thought I would vent. This excerpt from my post explains why I got annoyed today: " I am annoyed today because I received an email that whined about how Mike Malloy was just "too angry" for the the person's taste. With the recent barage of bullsh*t coming out of the mouth of Bush this week, it is clear why we need people like Mike who stay angry and passionate about saving our Republic from this fascist bastard and that Americans need to pay attention before we are totally screwed."Check out what I wrote today and see if you agree that the parellels between 1930's Nazi propaganda and what we are being fed now is something we all have to be aware of. Also here is an excellent article from March 16, 2003 by Thom Hartmann that ties into what I wrote about today: When Democracy Failed: The Warnings of History www.commondreams.org/views03/0316-08.htm

SOOO true Philip. Tha's exactly why we need Mike. The Archimind also has a good article on this point. Mike doesn't have to be YOUR STYLE of talk show host to be effective complainers! His voice is needed, and I can't wait to get him badck on air

I just get really sick of the people that are on the left that want to try to make nice with bigots, homophobes, theocrats and fascists...it is impossible. It is like letting your child, at age 4, do what ever he pleases without consequence or adjustments for negative behaviors. The child will grow into a teen with no boundaries and probably will wreak havok in thed home. We have let the child- the Bush administration in 2000 grow into a rebellious teenager that no one can control now.
To not be angry, like Mike, is crazy- I am not saying that we all should run around 24/7 raging at everyone we see. I am suggesting that Americans develope a sense of healthy anger and put the words into action.
One of my peeves is that readers very seldom add their comments on LJ or in the e-mail...to me writing is a dialogue...I am not always right and we learn by sharing information and points of view...I really hope this message board takes off and P&M readers utilize it to the max!
I will check out Archimind's article!
